Description: The Baltimore County Growth Tiers designate where major subdivisions on septic can or cannot be built. Tiers are defined as: Tier I - Served by public sewer and inside URDL, Tier IA - Served by public sewer and outside URDL, Tier II - Planned for public sewer and inside URDL, Tier IIA - Planned for public sewer and outside URDL or not currently planned for public sewer and inside URDL, Tier III - Large lot developments on septic, Tier IV - Preservation and conservation areas - No major subdivisions on septic. These areas were developed using a variey of data, including the URDL, Sewer Master Plan, Land Mgnt Areas, Rural Legacy Areas, Permanent Easements, Ag/Forested Land (from MDP), and MD's "Greenprint."
